This is a very fine antique American coin silver tea urn. 
Made by the renowned silversmith W.K. Vanderslice, circa. 1864.
This piece is particularly interesting because of the very unusual decoration.
The body of the piece is profusely decorated throughout in Chinoiserie style.
Depictions include landscapes, building, people and various scenes of village life.
Other features include the fabulous, large, vine and leaf handles.
Both tap and lift-off lid are adorned with floral sprays.
The cast scroll feet are also embellished with floral accents. 
There is a dedication engraved to the body which reads as follows:

Jany. 1st 1864
 
Stamped to the underside VANDERSLICE & Co.  S. F. CAL
Also stamped with a hallmark depicting a bear above V & Co.
Additionally marked to each component part with French import marks (swan).  
A very fine and unusual piece. 
 
Condition 
In good antique condition, with just expected wear.
Minor dings and surface wear throughout.
Tap appears to function well.
