A wonderful George I Britannia silver porringer, London 1722. With half fluted body and a rope-twist girdle. With an embossed leaf motif and a vacant cartouche. Fully hallmarked to body for Humphrey Payne, London 1722. A lovely piece of early silver.
Condition
In antique condition, with some wear. Possible area of repair over cartouche. Small split where handle meets body (pic 9). Hallmarks somewhat rubbed, but still legible.
