A wonderfully ornate George III silver claret jug, London 1766. The baluster body profusely embossed with ornate stylised acantus leaf decoration. Standing on spreading circular foot and surmounted by a wrythen knop. With raised spout and carved wooden handle. Hallmarked to underside for London, 1766. Maker's mark is unclear. A very ornate yet usable claret jug.
Condition
In antique condition with expected wear. Minor dents and surface wear throughout. Lid does not sit completely flush. Hallmarks are somewhat rubbed.
