Wonderful silver pepper shaker in the form of a large cockerel / rooster.
Made by Edward Stockwell, the shaker is unusually large and weighty.
The rooster is modelled standing upright on a rough hewn ground
Finely detailed in heavy cast silver, with a perforated removable head.
Fully hallmarked to body and head for Edward H. Stockwell, London 1880.
Further stamped with registration marks to tip of tail feathers.
A top quality piece, large, heavy and beautifully executed.

Good antique condition with just expected wear.
