An early George II silver taperstick dating to London 1728. Standing on a square foot with canted corners. The faceted knopped stem terminating in spool-shaped socket. Surmounted by a nozzle/drip pan of conforming shape. Hallmarked to underside for John Bird, London 1728. Also stamped with very small French import marks. An attractive piece of early Georgian silver.

In good antique condition with expected wear. Minor dings and surface wear throughout.
