Antique Austrian Solid Silver Cigar Cutter - Fox - Circa. 1900
Antique Austrian Solid Silver Cigar Cutter - Fox - Circa. 1900
A very fine antique silver cigar cutter, in the form of a fox's head. The realistically modelled fox with pointed face and deep red garnet eyes. The rest of the cutter is made up of intertwined silver flowers, leaves and acorns. At the opposite end to the fox's head is the cigar cutting mechanism. Hallmarked towards the cutter end - 800, dog's head and another mark. Opposite side with maker's mark WB, probably for Wenzel Brezina. A very handsome and fine quality piece.
