This is a very fine example of a Chinese export silver bell. It is unusual to find a bell, especially one of this quality. The body of the piece is profusely decorated throughout. Scenes depicted include various scenes of village life. The handle is Mother of Pearl and is decorated with foliage. I cannot find a maker's mark, so the silversmith is not known. This is a top quality piece and a genuine rarity.
