Rare Antique Tiffany Novelty Silver Mixed Metal Acid Etched Desk Inkwell.
A beautiful and unusual Tiffany sterling silver inkwell. In Japanese style with all-over hammered finish. Screw-down cap hinged up to reveal a glass lined interior. Acid etched body depicting frogs frolicking and playing an accordion. Parcel gilding to various elements of the raised decoration. Stamped to the underside as follows:

Made under the directorship of Edward Moore, 1873 - 1891. A very unusual piece of Tiffany silver.
Condition
In antique condition with expected wear throughout. Minor dings and surface wear throughout. A large number of small dents to the cap. Cap also seems to be somewhat misshapen. Glass insert is broken at the top (see pic 11). Wear to the gilding in places. Hallmarks are clear and legible.
