Tiffany Solid Sterling Silver Child's Set 2pc Bowl & Mug, Nursery Rhyme, Bo Peep

A fabulous solid silver child's set by Tiffany & Co., made circa 1892 - 1902. The set consisting of an acid etched mug and plate / shallow bowl. Both pieces are decorated with a Little Bo Peep nursery rhyme theme. The plate depicts Bo Peep asleep in a field, surrounded by her sheep. The mug shows Bo Peep finding her sheep's tails hanging on a tree. Both plate and mug also feature lines from the nursery rhyme.

These were obviously created as a set, given the matching order numbers (4528).  Also with English silver import hallmarks for Tiffany and Co., London 1902. These pieces was made under the directorship of Charles L. Tiffany, 1892 - 1902.  A rare and beautiful example of period Tiffany silver.

Condition

In good antique condition with expected wear throughout. Some small dents to the mug. Surface wear throughout. Could be further cleaned by new owner if desired. Hallmarks to bases are clear and legible.
